I wasn’t planning on retiring from my career, but here I am. Life is going to change drastically and as you can imagine, my emotions are on a rollercoaster of relief and fear. Fear primarily of the unknown and crippling doubt in my ability to create daily structure in an otherwise unstructured environment.
That said, I’ve always told myself that I would focus on marketing my novels once I was retired and had the time to work on social media and other advertising. So perhaps my new job is learning book marketing. I also have a Work in Progress (Book 5 of Johnnie) that I need to dust off and hopefully that will keep me busy.
Meeting other writers, especially budding writers, has always been exciting for me. Maybe I’ll do more beta reading, maybe attend more writing meetups and conferences. Connecting with other writers is definitely something to look forward to!
This is a short blog, but after two years of silence, I wanted to say a quick hi and give an update. I have no more excuses for not posting blogs! Looking forward to chatting again soon! And if you enjoy my books, drop me a line.
